Dr. Erik Bendiks, Board Certified Orthopedic Surgeon, is the head spine surgeon and researcher of Apex Orthopaedics, Spine and Neurology.
Dr. Bendiks is a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and Top Doctor nominee by the International Association of Orthopedic Surgeons. He has experience lecturing at numerous conferences and educating spinal surgeons on new techniques and technologies including his knowledge and development of new implant designs.
Dr. Bendiks is a graduate of University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas Texas. Upon graduation he completed his Residency in Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami Florida followed by Fellowship in Spine Surgery at the University of Rochester/Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, New York. An affiliate of multiple hospitals throughout the Atlanta metro area, he founded Georgia Spine and Orthopaedics in 2015 as well as the Surgery Center of Roswell in 2018.
Dr. Bendiks fluently speaks English, Spanish, and French. In his leisure time, Dr. Bendiks enjoys fishing, growing vegetables and herbs in his garden, spending time jumping on the trampoline with his kids, skiing, and tinkering in his tool shed.
